Staff Picks—DoneGood Holiday 2022 Gift Guide

We know these items inside and out—sure it's kind of our job to, but also because we actually use them. Here are a few thoughts from the DoneGood team on gifts we're actually getting for our family and friends.

Dark Chocolate Brownie Mug Cakes

"These are my go-to for teacher gifts, stocking stuffers, gift baskets, etc. They're such a fun and unique gift and I love that they work for people with food allergies. Also love that they're fair trade certified and Renewal Mill is dealing with food waste in a creative way!" - Erin

The Rowan Watch

"My husband is graduating PT school this year and needs new, professional watch for his rotations. Don't tell him, but he's getting this one from The Sustainable Watch Company. It's so nice-looking, it's affordable, and made from reclaimed furniture wood—especially cool since his dad is actually a former furniture maker!" - Katie

Organic Maple Habanero Barbecue Sauce

"No one ever asks me to cook for holidays (they have their reasons), so I’m grateful for all the amazing cooks in my life. I get to contribute to dinner, and support a Black-owned business with this sauce from Paunchy Elephant." - Ace

Eucalyptus Kimono Cardigan

"My sister asks for a sweater from Groceries Apparel every year because they’re comfortable but also look cool. Groceries is always doing really cool things, like making natural, no-chemical dyes out of upcycled fruits and vegetables and coffee grounds and stuff. They’re super transparent and their factory is in LA supporting local communities." - Cullen

Salted Caramel Chocolate Bites

"Beyond Good outdid themselves this holiday season with new bite sized versions of their delicious salted caramel chocolate. These individually wrapped chocolates come in a 50-pack and are shaped like cute little giraffes—perfect for stockings, gift baskets, or your own chocolate stash ;) And Beyond Good is just that—they pay beyond good wages to their farmers, who use sustainable farming practices."
- Katie

Build-Your-Own Solar Light Kit

"For my nephews, I look for gifts that will get them out from behind a screen – but that are also fun and educational. This kit from MPOWERD is a bonus, because I can do all those things while also providing clean energy for those in need. I won’t lose my cool auntie cred with this one!" -Ace

Kikos Colombian Coffee

"I think coffee is always a good add-on gift (at least for us caffeine addicts… so like almost everyone in America now). Kikos Coffee & Tea has really good coffee (and tea). Their Colombian Medium Roast is what I drink myself every morning. And it’s fair trade, LQBTQ-owned, and Minority Business Enterprise certified." - Cullen

Doll House with Wooden Furniture

"After a glowing recommendation from Katie (thanks Katie!) I got this Tikiri Toys doll house for my two-year-old for Christmas—it just came in the mail this week! It's so cool and high-quality and packs up perfectly for travel.  She loves pretend play so it will be engaging that active imagination for years to come!" - Erin
